Does the procedure hurt?

Most clients describe the sensation as minor pressure or light scratching rather than sharp pain. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to reduce discomfort, and the skin around the eyes is relatively thin, so the process moves quickly. Some areas, particularly the inner and outer corners, may feel more sensitive than others. Any tenderness usually fades within a few hours of
finishing, and over-the-counter pain relief is rarely needed. The level of discomfort varies from person to person, but most find it manageable throughout

Can I wear eye makeup after the treatment?

You should avoid all eye makeup, including mascara and eyeshadow, for at least ten days after your appointment. This allows the skin to heal without interference and reduces the risk of infection or pigment disturbance. Once the scabs have lifted completely and the area no longer feels tender, you can resume your usual routine. Some clients find they no longer need eyeliner at
all, while others continue using mascara or shadow but skip the liner step. The tattooed line works as a base that simplifies the rest of your makeup application.

Will the color look too dark at first?

Yes, the pigment will appear much darker and more defined immediately after the procedure and for the first few days. This is expected and part of the healing process. As the skin heals and light scabbing forms, the intensity will reduce. By the time healing is complete, usually around four weeks, the color will have softened to a more natural tone. If you feel the healed result is too light, a follow-up session can be arranged to add density or extend the line slightly. The goal is always to achieve balance once the skin has fully settled.

How often will I need a touch-up?

Most people return for a color refresh every three to five years, depending on how quickly their skin metabolizes the pigment. Factors like sun exposure, skincare products containing acids or retinol, and natural oil production all affect longevity. Some clients prefer to return sooner to maintain a bolder look, while others wait until the line has faded significantly. A follow-up appointment is usually recommended around six to eight weeks after the first session to check healing and adjust the result if needed. After that, maintenance is only necessary when you notice the color has lightened

What if I don't like the shape once it heals?

Shape and placement are carefully mapped before any pigment is applied, and you’ll have the opportunity to approve the design while sitting upright with your eyes open. Adjustments are made during this stage to ensure symmetry and proportion. Once healed, the line can be adjusted slightly during a follow-up session if needed, though significant changes are more difficult. Removal is possible using laser or saline methods, but it’s a gradual process and not guaranteed to clear all pigment. That’s why the consultation and design phase are so important before proceeding with the treatment.
